The book: The sparrows beg their two swallow friends not to leave for Africa in the fall. "Stay until Christmas to share love" they say. "If you told us to share water, home, company, play or warmth, we would understand. But love? How can we share love?' asked the swallows. Then they put on their hats and left as immigrants! And yet... a melomakaron, not just any melomakaron but the Great Melomakaron, proved that love is also shared because, when we want, everything happens.

The Series: In order for children to have healthy social lives based on effective relationships, they need to cultivate empathy, that is, the ability to put themselves in the shoes of others, to understand and feel things in the same way that another person experiences them. This need is met by the illustrated books of this series, which promote emotional intelligence. With the approach proposed for parents and teachers, they attempt to introduce children to seeing the world through the eyes of others, after first learning to recognize and manage their own emotions.

The author: Yolanda Tsoroni-Georgiadis is a graduate of the Law School, the Pedagogical Academy, the Pedagogical Department of the University of Athens and has been retrained at the Maraslio Didaskalio. She has worked for many years in public education, writes in educational magazines, volunteers in organizations for the promotion of literature, is an active member of the Women's Literary Society and has published several books for children and folklore studies. He has been included in the Register of Trainers of the program "Innovative Actions to strengthen students' love of reading" and has undertaken training work in Primary Education teacher training days.
